Developer Challenge A1 InnovationDays launched
Last week, A1 InnovationDays have been launched:
A1 InnovationDays is an international developer challenge aiming to create, discuss and vote for cool services built on IP-based communication (SIP & IMS)
With support from the OSAlliance, I designed the challenge for mobilkom Austria. Mobilkom is seeing itself as an enabler who provides the infrastructure and technologies. Creativity, on the other hand, is among the crowds that play with that (or other) technology and tools. A1 InnovationDays is aiming to bring these two building blocks for innovation together in order to create new services or applications.
However, it is quite interesting to see, how such a large (for Austrian standards) organisation is struggling to commit itself to such an open approach. I can tell from the discussions I had that this challenge is not a PR-gag or CSR-initiative, rather it is seen as the start of a new direction in the development of new services for mobilkom’s customers.
And yes, we had a really good start! After just three days, there are already 6 ideas posted on the platform.
