net culture labs in context
After the first successful year in coaching the net culture labs - organising a project camp, working on a semantic map together with Frank Piller on the topic of open innovation in the setting of a 2-day off-site, helping promising ideas to get out into reality - time has come to plan for the next year ahead. Basically, the general setting will remain the same (two labs, curators-model, facilitators on location etc), however, we want to put more focus on selected themes as well as addressing a wider audience with means of a call of ideas/projects.
Recently, the project manager of the net culture labs showed me an initiative in Budapest, which seems to be similar to our approach:
Kitchen Budapest, opened in June 2007, is a new media lab for young researchers who are interested in the convergence of mobile communication, online communities and urban space and are passionate about creating experimental projects in cross-disciplinary teams.
