Zoho

I recently stumpled upon Zoho (thanks to Markus F. Peschl) which quite impressed me. In a recent article in MIT’s Technology Review the author titled the story “Can Zoho Beat Google?”. Zoho offers online applications (such as word processor, spreadsheet, presentations etc) with excellent usability. With the increasing rejection of google data-mining practices, I believe that Zoho has a good change of attracting leading users. If they are able to beat Google is rather speculative, but it seems that they are starting well. Another point is - compared to other Web2.0 start-ups - that Zoho offers the same products as Google, so they might not be considered for buying by Google.
