Open Innovation

The Digital Connections Council of the Committee for Economic Development has released a report called ’Open Standards, Open Source, and Open Innovation: Harnessing the Benefits of Openness’. Interestingly, the report is chaired by Paul Horn of IBM. Especially the part about open innovation I can recommend reading. More open research and development networks have been promoted by Berkeley-academic Henry Chesbrough in 2003.
