Deon van der Walt shot
Sad news from the rainbow nation: opera singer Deon van der Walt has been shot by his father on the vineyard in Paarl (near Cape Town). I have been there a few years ago. Although I was too late for visiting the vineyard, I bought their wine (Veenwouden). And surprise, it was the best South African wine I ever tasted (and I travelled quite a few times through the Stellenbosch and Franschhoeck region).
