Geert Hofstede, the doyen of cultural issues within management topics, has a informative website with a huge archive of resources. For instance, Austria’s cultural dimensions show high masculinity and high uncertainty avoidance. The latter is found in most Catholic countries. In other words, it indicates Austria experiences a high degree of gender differentiation (masculinity) and is structured around laws, regulations and control (uncertainty avoidcance).
